What is Patient Engagement?

Positive Patient Engagement is where providers and patients work together to improve health. A good back-and-forth between patients and their providers allows for improved outcomes, and can be greatly facilitated by new health technologies such as telemedicine.

In general, patients already wish to be engaged in their treatment decision-making process, and those who are engaged as decision-makers in their care tend to be healthier and have better outcomes as a result.
